Atrium Ensemble
The last cooperation of the Beatles, one of their most famous albums, now sung by four men (high and medium tenor, baritone, bass) without any instrumental support – ist that really an option? It is! The cautious transcriptions by Frank Schwemmer completely cover the mood of the songs and the music is performed with a really incredible virtuosity – sometimes the listener may wonder whether there are in fact four voices only at work and not a complete ensemble. After two recordings with romantic songs (Musicaphon M 56848 and M 56876) this is the third release of this wonderful vocal ensemble on Musicaphon – a pleasure not only for Beatles fans who are familiar with the original.
