Between festive trumpet music and the shine of the Christmas time seems to be a "heavenly" connection: already the Early Fathers of the Church identified the shining trumpet sound with the voice of the angels or the voice of God. For the Pfeiffer-Trumpet-Consort it is therefore a great pleasure to present - after the first three CD-recordings - now with "Daughter of Zion, rejoice" festive Christmas music. Often the simple songs and melodies show the joy of Christmas in shining simplicity next to the sonorous instrumental music from the baroque era - there is a rich fund especially with Haendel and the French court composers. Therefore we had the idea to let participate a boy soprano with his clear timbre and unsentimental, but nevertheless heart-moving diction.

"The springily powerful pulse and the rythmic elasticity, the full shine of the three trumpets, timbals and organ are as well a pleasure." (Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung Heidelberg)
